What is Counselling?

Counselling gives you a chance to explore topics or issues with someone who has been trained in listening and understanding skills. This process provides a supportive atmosphere for you to explore your feelings and thoughts, to make any decisions and form the conclusions you need.

In counselling I do not judge, evaluate or tell you what to do. With the aid of an understanding listener and perhaps some helpful suggestions; you can do this for yourself.

Who can benefit?

There are many reasons for seeking counselling.

You may feel upset or distressed and have problems with your feelings, thoughts, relationships with others, or behaviour.

You may have had a sudden life-crisis such as bereavement, losing your job, or being burgled. You may feel you lack direction and that life makes no sense.
